Guys, teach your ladies how to change a tire. It’s something everyone should know anyway. And it may keep you from having to leave work to teach her on the side of the road.

I only wish I had taken some pictures of her doing it.....

you're good, got some new grass coming up now in fact. MUST keep the seed wet. Home Depot has a "grass mat" that is designed to protect the seed and keep it moist during germination. Spend the money and lay this on top or at least get some straw and cover the fresh seed.

Tires finally came in today. I love this new tire size! Goodyear Wrangler MTR 275/80/17. I just finished trimming enough to run them on the street. I'll need a CMC and more trimming for off-road.

FYI - I found my deal... Tire Rack seems to be the only place I found (before I stopped looking) that is showing the current BFG $70 debit/cash card rebate... Combine that with the $50 off a set of 4 + no tax at 4wheel parts ... and I have my deal I am looking for.

What's my best plan of attack to get 80" sliders onto my 1st gen Tacoma? I don't have any on hand, so I need more than an install - either a custom set or off the shelf and then welded on.

Ideally completed in 3 weeks before my road trip.

Might could call RCI and see if they have any laying around. From time to time they have stuff like that from canceled orders I think.

Or pay @YamaDirtrider to make you some if he has time

Ordered 4Runner 98-current year generic sliders from them. Stupid things are only 66” long. Another Local GX has 69” sliders and those look about perfect.

Thanks, I'm chatting with Yama... Knowing that shipping sliders would greatly add to the price, having a local build/install seems like the better choice.

Looks like there are a couple of builders there. Oakwood does not have a stellar reputation as far as I know. They have had some issues with building as quickly as they possibly can and then not being able to properly address problems that owners find after move-in. I'm not as familiar with Lennar though.

Other than that, there is just not much out there other than F-16s from Buckley and 737s from DIA. I have a friend who lives in Green Valley Ranch and commutes to lower downtown every day...
