long ago it was not unusual to purchase Blatz or Pig Eye when headed out to camp for the weekend - both way cheaper than the competition. Banquet actually taste pretty good if you don't have it too often.

I have no issue with the Keys. And I do like the Banquet, or the Original as it is out east. Not a fan of the Coors Light though. Tastes metallic to me.
See there. This guy gets it. When in the woods or at a bar, its quantity over quality.
That is where I draw the line.
This good beer of which you speak is the great debate. Somewhere along the lines someone decided it would be cool and trendy to start making beer as hoppy as they possibly could and unfortunately all the beer snobs bought in and has continued to this day.

I'm going to bring one of these fancy New England IPAs for you and pour a sip for you to try. I'd be surprised if you don't say "Man this tastes like orange juice ... and is 9.5%!!!!!".

Im open to try any beer. As long as you are open to me making bitter beer faces.

Contrary to popular TW belief, I do like other beers. I love a good stout, porter, amber, lager but I have NEVER enjoyed an IPA that I can recall.

Light or Lite beers I can't handle much. Water that identifies as beer is not my thing. I'm not an IPA lover but can handle 1 or 2. I stay away from most wheat beer, you know the glutens .

My "check liver" light illuminated a while ago so quantity is a bag thing. Tried the clear codes and tighten the gas cap method, didn't fix it. Just have to stick to a sixer. At least my pay to play has gone down.

I nominate that for the best post of the day, regardless of what may be posted later!

Next time I see you, a sixer of your beer of choice will be on me.

It may not be for all but next time you are on the Western Slope look for Dirty Hippie. Brewed and served at the Palisade Brewery. Goes great with BBQ and remember to get a slice of orange with it. And no they don't ship to the Front Range. :(

He is in Montrose - which is a short ride south of Grand Junction / Palisade. Montrose south is REAL NICE!

I’d like to get more south or west of town. Found a bad ass chunk of land down south for a good price but doesn’t have a few of the requirements on the other half’s checklist.
@johntoyota you can actually ‘ride’ from junk town to here or take the highway.

    It is.

Agreed. Fruity beers are not my thing. Although I do enjoy a Blue Moon with an orange slice. And the Leinenkrueigelmeisters Summer Shandy is freaking fantastic on a sunny afternoon at an outside bar!
