I’d like to get more south or west of town. Found a bad ass chunk of land down south for a good price but doesn’t have a few of the requirements on the other half’s checklist.
@johntoyota you can actually ‘ride’ from junk town to here or take the highway.

Dude...beer is not supposed to taste like orange juice. There are no oranges or juice in beer!

    It is.

Agreed. Fruity beers are not my thing. Although I do enjoy a Blue Moon with an orange slice. And the Leinenkrueigelmeisters Summer Shandy is freaking fantastic on a sunny afternoon at an outside bar!

Probably the only beer that frequents my fridge. Not much for the beer thing, but when I’m smokin some elk, a shandy is perfect.

I feel a sixer making its way to my fridge tonight even if it is going to snow tonight.

I dabbled a little in homebrewing so I've experimented a bit with different bittering, flavoring, and aroma hops. Its amazing the flavors you can create with the right hops added at the right time. I honestly enjoy fruity/tart/sour beers as long as the flavor comes from the hops and not the because you actually added fruit to the beer. That's cheating. Just like adding chocolate or coffee beans to a coffee stout or chocolate porter is in my opinion cheating. That flavor should come primarily from your malts, no added flavors

Correct. The beer I speak of contains NO fruit and I will slap anyone that attempts to put a slice of any fruit into the beer. :smack:

That is a nice ride. Last summer I rode from Golden to Grand Junction - then Junction to Durango for Shark Week (Durango/Ouray/Telluride) for four days. Then Durango to Golden via Wolf Crk and up 285. Think I will make the same ride again this year mid August. Really nice way to see the country side, feel the air and smell nature (and a few animals that need not mentioned).

You all ever head the Wicked Weed French Toast Imperial stout? It's not a breakfast beer...it IS breakfast.

I had a Weldwerks PB&J Kettle-soured wheat ale the other day. It was a bit too chalky for my palate since I can taste powders used in drinks/foods (like chocolate ice cream - too chalky).

Brewed with peanut flour, strawberry puree and milk sugar, this kettle soured wheat ale brings two different worlds together and makes 'em the best of friends, just like you and your 4th grade locker buddy.

They make beer without adding lactose and use oats instead for the mouth feel.

Food trucks from 12-5(?) on Saturday at Fontaine Blvd just west of Hwy 85. Just north of Mesa Ridge exit (McGrath road goes west from Mesa Ridge straight into Carson). Tacos and many other delightful foods there. That’s all I can think of, as we usually make our own. Yes, there’s a 3 Margaritas (Mexican food) there, but they seem really really greasy IMO
