Got a call from the wife who has been driving my truck for past 2 months that there is a flat...

Well shit balls, she should of taken care of it when she knew the BOLT was in there. My mistake for not following up on it. Bolt is probably on the highway right now after it flew outta the tire.

On another note I need a new hilift as this old thing is not doing so well... maybe worth a rebuild...

 

I bought a rebuild kit and have some parts left over if you need mechanism parts. I bought one and it had a bent climbing pin

 

Sucks about the tire. Good news is radio must work great if she turned it up and couldn't hear the bolt slapping

Dude no joke, with that massive of a bolt I won't be surprised if they say I need a new tire, if so then I'll tell them to warranty it so im safe and I'll take the swiss cheese one and plug the holy hell outta it. Then I can ditch this old one I have

 

Discount told me they can't patch a hole if the thing that punctured it was over 1/4". Wife's car picked up a tire weight and they wouldn't even try. Luckily I still had a week on the tire certificates

 

This place can get a little crazy with the mob mentality sometimes. A good example would be someone asking how to disable the seat belt chime. 700 dickheads will respond with variations of "just wear your seatbelt asshole!"
But I feel like the tread lightly message is a little bit different. If someone were to post about going off trail and nobody said a word, that could imply that it's ok. Both to the poster and to whoever else happened to read it. Maybe even people who haven't created an account on the site.
It's not ok. It actually affects all of us. It will get more trails closed.
Not sure why that poster got banned.... maybe people could be more tactful in their responses.... but no way in hell should something like that get posted without anyone saying anything about it.
