Colorado B.S. Thread

First I've heard of this, and my initial reaction is... why? I mean, it makes sense for the ultimate head of the BLM to be in Washington with lawmakers and the heads of all the other agencies. That said, I don't know enough about it to have a really informed opinion, and that article is somewhat lacking on details. The director doesn't exist now but is going to be created/appointed? It's only for the 'Western region'? The comments about it being a move to 'dismantle or reduce the influence of' the BLM (which happens to fit with my reaction). It does make sense the HQ would be closer to where all the land they manage is, but seems like there'd be a lot of travel back to DC too - and GJ instead of Denver (where part of the relocation apparently would happen, to Lakewood which is already a major hub for land agencies)…

I'd be curious about what employees within the BLM think about it, or what context or story they could add. All I know is they manage a whole lot of land with significantly fewer resources, relatively speaking, than some of the other agencies.

 

But then you have to live in GJ....

What's wrong with GJ? I've always enjoyed it there, but I'd be curious on feedback of why it has such a stigma....
I don't (presently) have a crippling meth addiction, white supremacy group affiliation, or an active right-wing religious cult membership, but I'm pretty resourceful.

What helps me is the lows get lower and cool down the house better at night.

 

Yup, Denver is hot as ball too, plus traffic and smog, plus post-pot and mushroom transplants.

 

But it's a dry heat!

 

Weather just isn't the best for me. It IS closer to the San Juans though....

YES! It's closer to all the good stuff, plus a fraction of the traffic and cost. Plus, hotter temps mean shorter shorts. I'll wear a fucking romper to work.

Ironically enough I've had people tell me they weren't a fan of Yukons that they installed and preferred Nitro/G2/Revolution/??? . Then there are others who will tell you all of the gears are made by the same place in Korea and rebranded by the big names

That’s a thought, but shipping from Hawaii is unpredictable at times. We could be waiting 3 days or 3 weeks . Sometimes dealerships have great rental deals - $30/day. Moving to Hawaii, we got a minivan from Nissan for $25/day, quick google search for rental in COS was upwards of $75-100/day. Outrageous lol
