House A/C is broke, so I'm welcoming the storm. Now if the repair guy would just get here soon...

I have no official info to point to or anything, but my understanding is that in general all sheet metal on vehicles is thinner than it used to be. I know for sure my 2nd gen roof is thinner than previous pickups I've been around, and it's not just support (though that's part of it too).

My guess is it's one of these concepts. No fixed shower head. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his direction was 'like this, but better quality/different finish materials'.

If I can ask @Martyinco what's the ballpark at least cost on that one? It looks pretty similar in size to what my roommate is needing done and I'm trying to convince him not to go Home Depot insert special. Do the hex tiles add anything, or do they just go down in sheets so it's no worse than square tile?

    Hi folks,

Been a hectic couple of weeks....I would like to say that after my call to Toyota the dealership has been VERY helpful in resolving my issue with the svc issue. My entire goal was to simply get them to do emphasize that folks bring their vehicles in for SERVICE and expect things to be accomplished. Cutting corners is unacceptable and after several calls (corporate, customer relations, and the svc manager) I believe that they are now aware of the issue and are going to implement something to make sure things won't happen in the future.

Time will tell on that; I am willing to give them (after some productive conversations) a second chance and will meet with them face to face soon.

Now onto figuring out some pain in the ass wiring and then going onto more wheeling related items such as a lift, tires, wheels.

    Cheers!

    :)

It’s a new style... nah it’s one of those all in one columns. I personally don’t like them, most of them feel super cheap, use crappy press fittings behind the stamped steel bodies. But it’s what the customer bought. He’s actually finishing his basement alone and realized he wasn’t skilled enough to tile, so paid me to do it, and that’s all I did.
    944AF5F4-EF44-41CF-9B13-BB93128CFE15.jpg

Inserts suck, and inserts at some point always leak.

This one was a weird one, as I said above the guy did most of the work himself. He realizes he was in over his head on tile and I care in and fixed his tiling mistakes. He had no waterproofing in the walls, some shitty pan. I did ding him extra on the price because they went over the top on such a small space and wanted three different grout colors which just adds to the work. That being said, the tile work and my glass guy coming in to do the glass will come in at $4k

That's why my parts bin keeps growing: LCA bushings, CV boot kits, diff/transfer oil, ditch lights, front leaf spring greasable bolts ... I forget what else is in there now.

Been debating getting back into it and demoed a few hard tails over the last momth. Finally decided on a Trek Stache 9.7. Haven’t ridden a hard tail in 20 years, and have never been a huge Trek fan until I rode this one. Went out this morning on an easy test run, and the 29+ tires are like cheating on climbs. Super fun bike, let the games begin...again.

It's not just the 29er tires, it's the WIDE rims and tires as well that help hugely with traction.

I just looked at a blue ‘05 today up in Erie. If all goes well I hope to do the deal tomorrow. It has a new frame, 180k miles, new suspension, aftermarket front bumper, tonneau cover. Hopefully I get up to the mountains enough to justify it as a second vehicle.

Does $13k sound reasonable for that truck in good shape? I drove it and there were no problems that I could see.
