I bought them fancy Whiteline LCA bushings. I realized before my trip that I forgot to put in a piece in the front OME "coil over" assembly and that wore down the shaft a little bit, so I'm sure that is still clunking some even after installing that piece. The bushings in the bottom of my front OME shocks seem pretty squished and deformed so it probably wouldn't hurt to replace those, but I'm going to save my money for "real" coilovers at this point.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to get poly bushings for the rack when I have most of the front end off for CV boots, suspension work, LCA bushings, etc. Then I only have to bother with one alignment after all that.

I still need to do LCA bushings, I have the whiteline kit and new alignment cams sitting in the garage but I haven't had the motivation for it :bananadead:

Which coilovers do you think you'll go with?

Not sure, i need to do more reading on which ones handle salt and corrosion as I don't park my truck in the winter and have to drive through that crap.

Does anyone here use a local insurance company? Not an agent for one of the big ones, not a broker

I was thinking ADS or Radflo. I'm also thinking about just doing the front for now and punishing myself with keeping the OME rear to get myself to spend the rest of the money (and reinforcing/boxing the frame, relocating the rear shocks, adding a second gas tank where the spare used to live, building a swing-out bumper...)

Not a Icon fanboy nor do I care either way but my truck gets driven everyday of the year and gets beat on most of those days and i must say my Icons have treated me well for the last 4+ years. My Fox shocks made it 2-3 years before I was advised to just buy new instead of attempting another rebuild.

It was a PPP project - our poor broke CDOT decided Public Private Partnerships were a good way to get something now and pay later. Almost like Design Build or CMGC CDOT passed the buck to the Contractor, and designer, to come up with its own QA/QC program. Chances are the Owners QC was audit based. Fox in the hen house when the Owner (CDOT) has little to no experience in these types of contracts and no staff to oversee the work. You can thank Bill Owens and his successor for this. I know = I started under Gov. Love and saw a shit show nearly everytime someone else got elected and wanted to leave their "mark." Now we are simply F'd. GL Colorado you need it.

Yeah, I'm also stuck at that same point where I can't let myself upgrade until I'm ready to do it right from the beginning. So a welder is at the top of my list for suspension upgrade parts...

I think the only way to fix that is to link the rear :anonymous:

I called OME to order those lower bushing's and they sent me them for free. They are a very tight fit but with some heat and a hammer I got them in.

Do your rear first if you carry much weight. It'll help stabilize the truck after big hits more so than the front.
