I've been to Ironclads which is a couple miles north if that helps at all.

Ah okay. I was just wondering if I should feel like a giant vagina for not making it past the initial, decent-sized-bouldery entrance or not. Feel like having an automatic would be much easier...my clutch was roasting.

In my opinion that’s the hardest part.
There is one or to other rock obstacles but rest is easy.

I’ve done it in my trail limo on 31” and no armor

As it should be, they really need to up the initial "Guardian" obstacles on just about all the trails, would cut down on these clueless I just got a 4x4 wheelers on some of these trails.

I think the manual makes the challenge. Automatics just point and go. Go have fun

Dumb question ... but were you in low range?

Also, I'm glad that gatekeeper is there and tough. Way too many people would be out on the trail because of the proximity to everyone in the front range.

    Oh wait...

My buddy has a built 1st gen 4 runner with a V8 swap on 40s and he wishes he put a manual in it. He gets a bit bored just gas and brake.

Got rear-ended yesterday up in Estes Park. Subie came in hot to a red light, hit the car behind me, that then slid into me. Minimal damage, but my bumper is smooshed a little bit, and the plastic step piece is busted. Nothing touched any body panels, and nothing underneath appears to be bent.

My questions is: I want a check from one of the parties' insurance companies for the most amount of money without having the repair done - What's the best way to do this?

A properly geared manual is basically an automatic.

Theres a video on Youtube of a guy on Poison Spider in Moab in a 4runner and you can just tell that the tranny was working stupid hard. He later made a comment to excuse him for not realizing that his runner was in 4H. :anonymous:

As mentioned above, the turning radius and break over angle might be the only limitation

We just did Imogene in a 2010 Tundra w/ Four Wheel Camper (Stock Length) and a 2018 Tundra w/ a +2.5" Long Travel Kit

It's definitely easier in a Tacoma, 4Runner, or FJ, but it's certainly doable in something larger

Biggest negative for me is oncoming traffic, even less places to have room for 2-way passing. Full size just doesn't leave many options trying to find room to get someone else bye.

Personally, I would never run a full size on these old Colorado mine trails. :crapstorm:

I tried 4H and 4L, the clutch just seemed to not let any power get to the wheels, if that makes any sense. I get it, I desperately need to yank the accumulator off, supposedly that helps. That said, I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t the slightest idea what I’m doing when it comes to going off road, but at least I didn’t force it and clog up the trail for others. I take some solace in having seen a Raptor being “guided” back down that entrance, so it would seem to me it’s at least reasonably difficult. When I grow up, I hope I can bash people in my current state of 4x4 ignorance, but until then, I’ll blame the accumulator.

Youve got to learn somehow. Jump on a ride (or as the assholes in here call it, a wheeling trip) with us and get some experience in a group.
