My clutch doesn't like 4low but that's with 125k on it. It's time I look to replace that too

I did it yesterday, but my friends and I are dumb and did it backwards, coney flats to exit at MSV.

There is a couple bad spots close to the top and the water crossing that might be a slight challenge but my short bus (gx470) on 34's and no armor did it just fine.

How deep was the water? Is the challenge the hidden rocks?

I remember hitting my skid plates on a few rocks in the water crossing when I did it in my truck on 30's with the lift

Lets plan a run up there like mid August? I am going to be finishing up my break in this week but I will be back in the greatest state of TN the weekend of the 9-10-11 so the next weekend would be ideal for me!

Unless I can finish my break in this week and get to ride this weekend.....

    24"ish

the water is clear so it's easy to see and drive around the rocks. A buddies LJ on 265's did it no problems.

Very close to that. A stock truck with stock airbox shouldn't have an issue if you don't drive like an asshat.

What is this "break in" you speak of?

Just send it! The gears aren't that fragile...

That would be gears. And Ill send it in 200 miles and a fluid change. However, Ill be sending it more slowly due to the gears.:rofl:

I'm a shitty truck owner... Put in the new thirds, topped it with gear oil and called it done. That being said, let me know what the drain plug looks like on yours when you put in fresh oil. :anonymous:

Typically you need 3 quotes and then they'll average them for your payout. Just make sure you go to dealerships for your quotes as they tend to be double what a normal body shop would cost.

Stevinson and Mountain States say they don't do body work. Any dealers to recommend that will give me a quote?

If you go to a non dealership shop make sure you specify that your quote should be for genuine factory replacement parts.
