I dont understand the difficulty. Pick up the truck ns. not pick up the truck. This is a clear choice.
    Solid offer.

Service manager @ dealership wants me to pay by C.O.B. today. I only learned it was done late yesterday (after 5pm). He says if I can't get up there today, no problem... just call and he'll take payment over the phone....

Hmmm... anyone else have issues with paying for work sight unseen? On the one hand, I'm sure everything is OK. On the other hand... I don't the principle of paying sight unseen... Most if not all my leverage is gone at that point.

That seems really weird that they're insisting you pay today. Does it have to do with it being the end of the month? If so, that's their problem, not yours... They should have finished sooner. I wouldn't pay until I see the work done.

If you do decide to pay, pay with a credit card so you have some protection/leverage if something ends up being off.

    Agreed.

That dealership is pretty damn big - at least from how many cars they have on the lot and how many vehicles hiding out back that are visiting the service department. I'd be surprised if they NEEDED the money today. They may want it for the books, but they don't need it.

I wouldn’t pay until you look it over. My frame had a few bolts that needed tightened. Nothing major but still make sure their work is done well the first time.

Exactly. That, and it's not that you don't trust them, but you would rather be able to inspect the work prior to handing over wads of your money. They should be understanding. It's not like they don't have your truck as collateral. What, you gonna stiff them by not paying...and NOT get your truck back?

Doubt it. I feel like it wasn't supposed to be posted. The pictures were shitty iPhone pics. Like the ones they quickly snap when giving an estimate. And it didn't have any description outside of miles.

Oh before I forget ... I recommend you go to the car wash, wash the lower rocker panels well and then apply some 3M protectant tape. My lower panels are all chipped from not running front mud flaps and driving a bunch of gravel roads. :(

It is the end of the month and he is trying to close his tickets for his paycheck. Also, there is a maximum amount of time Toyota allows warranty claims to be open.
