Low ride height, 35s, rear locked, and armor describes my rig and my buddy’s 3g4r as well haha. I wouldn’t be too worried about it, granted I’ve never run that trail before

You can do it. I want to do it in the Lexus once I get skids and a rear locker. Have 34’s now.

Really, I always understood it to be one of the hardest trails there is in Colorado.

FYI- they are coming back down the trail

That’s those Instagram angles. Wasn’t terrible last time I rode along but that was like 5 years ago. I would meet all the requirements other than a front locker.

From what I have heard, that river crossing pictured above is the hardest part of the trail

The river crossing and one other part are the hardest parts. River crossing wasn’t that hard if you take your time and pick a good line.

A few of my friends ran it this summer and said that as long as you aren’t taking the hardest lines, you probably won’t break anything

Ran it in my 90 Bronco with 4" lift, armor and 33s.

I'll never run that trail again, lol

It’s only a 10 if you take the hardest lines.

Holy Cross is doable in a taco with 33s, full armor, and at least one locker if you know what you're doing. Have a winch or a more equipped vehicle in front to pull you through.

Bigger tires and two lockers should get you through unassisted.

Thank you! The two trucks that are definitely going both have winches, we just figure a group of 3-4 is better than 2

Is that you with the turbo out on your tow rig? At Nicks shop?

It would be challenging for you, that's for sure.

I'm not gonna claim that I know what I'm doing but I'd like to say I have about 15 years of wheeling experience at this point :homer::luvya:

I didn't realize I live 3+ hours from the TH, that will be a hard sell for a day trip especially with no tow pig. My truck is not very streetable as-is

No, mine is sitting in front of my house with an electrical problem. I put a new turbo in mine this year...and oil cooler, injection control pressure sensor, exhaust back pressure sensor, y pipe, injector pressure regulator, cam sensor, rebuilt the front end, put new batteries in, new tires on, and have a bunch more shit to go on it. Just tired of spending 1-8 hours a week trying to keep the damn thing on the road. It's killing all my taco time

I called him earlier to ask him questions about the 6.7l powerstrokes but didn't catch him. I'm thinking it's time to suck it up and accept the payments again
