Wife bought this last week:


I’ve been enjoying the meals she has made with the Instapot. It also permeates the house with a pleasant smell.

She makes some kick ass spicy shredded chicken in a crockpot that I bring with me off road.

My mom pressure cooked pumpkin. I liked when she let me trigger the valve to let the steam out when it was time. I enjoyed the pumpkin pies.

Which do I like best? Hard to say. I like the results of each one. I am fortunate the meals are made for me.

 

Tell us more about the puppers…

 

That’s Broc. He’s about 5 months old and approaching 40 lbs on his way to about 125 lbs. He is named after a town in Switzerland where Cailler chocolate is made. Cailler is his mom’s name.

 

I've been considering an insta pot but can't justify taking up space with another gadget and I know how to make rice in a pot...
The slow cooker made some mean debris poboys this week though and we have even made molten lava cake in it

 

We use both. Crocpot is great for things like Ham and Beans slow cooked for 8 hours, Awesome. We also use the Insta-pot. It's handy to quickly make hardboiled eggs, steam tamales and my wife makes a fantastic Tikka Masala in it. My Dad has also made Green Chili in his Insta-pot and said that the pork came out incredibly tender. If I want BBQ, that goes on the smoker.

Dog Story.
A friend of ours had just gotten a pup and reached out to us saying the breeder needed to find a home for the last pup in the litter. Catch was this pup had a heart murmur and to the breeder, he was a defective dog and could not sell him. So either give him away for free or off to the shelter.

We said we'd meet the pup to see if the heart murmur was serious and see how the pup was......it was game over after that. We fell in love with him and he's our world. It got to the point that some of our friends were getting annoyed with all the photos of him on our Instagram pages so we made him his own. We area big craft beer family so we like to go out and "invest in the local economies" and we'd bring our pup along with us. We took a cool photo of him with one of the brewery beers and BOOM, his account took off!

Headed up to Vail for the Modest Mouse concert tonight and I'm looking for any overnight parking to sleep in the truck, but it's not looking good. Anyone know any ninja spots or know where I'll be good from midnight to about 6am?

 

I believe the city owned parking garages are free from 6:00pm to 3:00am and the first two hours are free. So that gets you to 5:00am. You can either wake up an hour early, pay $10 for an additional hour, or move the truck at 5:00 and sleep in the grocery store parking lot for another hour.

Not sure if it's sketch to sleep in the truck in the garage though

I'm also heading up for the weekend.....hoping the roads stay open.

 

Might be able to sleep in the parking lot of the Walmart in Avon.

 

I saw the free until 3am, but didn't know first two hours were free also, that's good info.
