Parker, and Castle Rock to Highlands Ranch are "nicer" areas, so you're looking in the right spots. The further away you get from the mountains and Denver, the cheaper land and homes get... which really means getting away from the things you want (rivers, mtn bike trails, etc.). The front range area in general has ridiculous housing (whether buying (bad) or renting (worse)) prices right now.

I wouldn't live on the front range if it weren't for my work location, and my inability to maintain my sanity doing a long (over one hour), and frustrating commute.

Tesla is really overstepping. Some may not like this guy but he's good at making Tesla answer for some of their more absurd rules.

Probably the first Tesla anything I've watched... and that was very interesting.

Anybody go to the Avs stadium game last night? Was the worst sporting event I've ever been to. Completely shit planning from NHL/AFA.

We got a hotel room down there and tried to lyft/uber/taxi. Nobody would take us. Finally 1 of us decided to DD and it took us an hour from gate to stadium.

We get there the end of the 1st and the lines for beer/food/bathroom were minimum 40 mins. Apparently some vendors ran out of beer/food 10 minutes into the game.

Yes and no. Castle Rock/Castle Pines have multi-million dollar homes, just look it up on Zillow. I also used to live in CR and some of the homes are in the millions, and castle pines also had its fair share of $1M+ homes.

I got here in 2000, and things have changed a lot for the worse but than when I travel, no matter how "bad" it is here and significantly worse elsewhere. Anyways, I would take the negatives with a grain of salt and will just add that if you are expecting to get into mountains every weekend be prepared for long traffic jams going and coming from everyone else with same idea. I pretty much make any mountain adventure into a 3.5 day trip to try and cut down on this, leave Friday at lunch (Thursday even better) and return Monday.

Doesn't Castle Rock have a few Mtn Biking Trails?

Sweet thanks for the info. According to trailforks there are some mtb trails in the area and more closer to the range.

    I hate this place.
Ill definitely get one in before I leave and my annual September trip would not suffer if I were not to live here. That trip will always happen.
As long as @CO MTN Steve isnt on the list.
