CBI plate rear bumper with swingaway, SPC Light Racing UCAs, ARB SS170HF Safari snorkel w/ Afrikaans centrifugal pre-cleaner, Tacoma antenna mod, TRD Supercharger w/ URD 7th inj. & URD pulleys, Anti-Dark engine bay lighting system. Having gone 250k, Aug 2016 was the time to replace the original clutch & get the driver's seat rebuilt/stuffed. Front & back Weathertech liners. Tundra front disc brake swap. Full length Rocky Mountain Rack with 40" lightbar & alternating strobe rear dust lights. I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new, from old stock, 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
It's an old saying but true for all of my builds so far, start from the ground up. Sliders, skid plates from front bumper to behind the transfer case, armored front & rear bumpers WITH at least a 10,000# winch. True, most of your upgrades will be hidden but you can't go wrong with armor & self recovery. All of them will more than pay for themselves on the first use. Like someone else said on here, the Rockies aren't called that due to their sand content.

If I had to do my 1st & 2nd builds over, I would have done exactly this. I had an RTT & they have a cool look either packed up or deployed, but a stealth camper is so much cooler & easier when you want to make or break camp. Also there is a solid wall of something instead of a thin sheet of nylon cloth between you & the more daring wildlife. If nothing else the noise of going through steel & fiberglass gives you more time to chamber, safety off & aim, unlike a tent which will just sound like a loud zipper.

Where do you normally play? I've got a season pass to beaver ranch since it's about 10 minutes away. I hit up Bailey a month or so ago, mainly just to get outside. Looking forward to the snow melting. Perhaps we can get out and toss some day!

I used to play ghost town a bit when we were in Denver but I really like the jr9 in Littleton. Village green was nearby work so we played that pretty often too. In fort collins I've played edora mostly since we moved here but some of the schools have a course

I play badlands since it’s close to me now(by water world). Or Johnny Roberts on occasion. Used to play Ken Carl as well as ACC when I lived in Littleton. Fehringer ranch is another fun course it’s just west of Kipling on Quincy. I’m always Down to toss a disc

I haven't bought a used vehicle in a long time. Where should I be shopping for a 2.5 gen?

    Criteria:
    • 2012-2015 Tacoma DCSB
    • 4x4
    • Automatic
    • SR5 minimum (I would entertain a Sport or Off-Road model if it's a deal, but I don't need/want those options.)
    • non-salvage title
    • stock - no wiring hacks, no aftermarket bumpers, lifts, etc.
My goal is $15-20k with the current world situation thinking that someone may need to get out of their lease or need cash.

Does anyone hunt? I want to go elk hunting this year but I lack the expertise and domain knowledge. I would love to learn more about the sport and animal. If anyone is an avid hunter and would like to share the sport with a fellow enthusiast, let me know!
