Haha yeah figured as much. Just depends on which location I Can transfer to for work. Fiancé also transferring (same company) so hoping everything lines up.

 

There aren't mountain views in Boulder except for a few million+ dollar homes up in the foothills. The best mountain views are closer to I-25 so your sight lines allow it.

Yup, two very different areas. Politics, taxes, economies, diversity, weather… the list goes on.

I think Colorado Springs offers more value but maybe that's because I live just outside of Boulder.

Also, if you want to play in the mountains better factor those traffic jams in to possible locations.

 

Yeah we are saving up and have well paying jobs. I’m not sure if we will get a million+ home, but we are also open to buying land and having a home built. All I want is land for the dogs to run, and a nice garage so that I can work on cars and build fun things. Thanks for the tips on each location!

 

Boulder is probably out then, they have severe regulations to limit building (Both New & Remodels).

@Martyinco might know, but I understand (major renovation or new build) the quickest you can get approvals & permits is 3 years in Boulder County.

 

Well that is very good to know haha. Thanks for the insight there. Still a few years away so we will see what changes but I wanted to start making a plan now. Thanks again. First step for me is buying my first Tacoma end of this year. Can only go up from there...

 

I spent time in Western MD on my long winding trip to Colorado myself, you will also want a 4x4 Tacoma if your coming here.

 

Yeah I’m getting a DCSB OR, haven’t decided in MT or Auto, could go either way honestly. And def getting a 4x4. Yeah I love western MD, went to college out there and spent a many days camping and fishing
