I don’t know the science behind it, but I had the same BFG KO’s one set in 255 and one set in 285’s. Once I got down to 30-40% tread left, the 285’s performed way better than the 255’s did. I actually sold the 255’s with a decent amount of life left on them because I felt they were pretty unsafe.

I take it that is why they are requiring a hunting or fishing license.

 

Is this a new tire? Don't recall seeing it before. Comes with the snow traction three mountain rating like the Duratracs. Seems like a between the Duratracs and the Trailrunner AT.

I'm intrigued by the new Toyo ATIII

Snow rated. Come in the size I want and in a load range C. Need to do a little reading on them.

 

Discount didn't list a 255/80/17, 265 is the skinniest they listed. A snow rated A/T sounded interesting, so I went to goodyear.com to see if that was an option that discount didn't have. I could not find any tire by that name, so used the chat function to try and get more info, which lead to this.

" The Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrain AT is not a tire that appears on our site or in my database. This is either because it has been discontinued or is sold exclusively at specific retailers."

My guess is that it's a discount exclusive.

 

I'm currently running KO2's. 265/75/16 Great tire, only complaint is they ride a little rough. Last set was the LTX AT2 michelins, prob will go back to them. Only thing they are kind of boring looking.

It's been 2 months since I've been to my office

 

I would fail horribly

 

I have those days. Other days I can't peel myself away from the work. I guess it averages out

 

I have about 15k on my set for the work truck, like them so far and weren't a horrible price been really good in the mud and snow so far

 

Have these on the taco and they are tons better than the last version. Softer compound so not sliding around all the time in snow and ice, side wall is much more forgiving as well

 

I have the AT2 on my T4R now, very ok tire. They worked good on the slick rock and dirt but DD duties and like you said any snow/ice they are very sub par.
