So, 4 stroke "horsepowerz" upgrades, myth or fact?
Just removing the governor alone was free and totally woke the thing up. Prolly will shorten the lifespan as well, but that's ok. Most drag cars only get a run or two out of the high dollar motors, I've beat the piss out of it for a few weeks now.

the predator engine has a plethora of intake and exhaust upgrades, all over the internet.
This kit looks kool, has the jet included. price is on point.
    https://www.bmikarts.com/-Air-Filter-Adapter-Upgrade-Jet-for-65-HP-Engines-196cc-212cc_p_4232.html
but then, the same company, has the same kit, with the needed extended carb mounting stud. For several bucks more...
    https://www.bmikarts.com/Air-Filter-Kit-for-Predator-212cc_p_4339.html

in the end, the carb still has a tiny little 3/4" intake itself.

and the exhaust port is the same size, yet there is 1" exhaust pipes, with regular hardware store mufflers attached.
    https://www.ombwarehouse.com/weiner...4hrvcTMO-obB2bBvfn3xT-wVUdHw79FAaAjcVEALw_wcB

I already have the muffler pictured, and i think I can make the exhaust flange and pipe myself. and angle it the way I want it. But not out of gas pipe, or at least not all of it.

as for the intake, i also have this thing, I think the chrome itself will add some ponies, if i can "machine" an adapter for it :notsure: It's a K&N for all the haters, but with no MAF, I think it'll be ok.

I think I'll be sticking with the scrap crap laying around theme and do it myself. :burp:

Starts off as a junkyard build... only a matter of time before it ends up like this.

Making it look easy. If I had the money this would be a fun project. Swap in a rubicon drivetrain and v8 engine.

Well, I struck out at DPD. They recommended Air Care Colorado.
I guess I’ll try one of the dealers near me.

Came into grand junction from western Wyoming via flaming gorge....holy fuck did not realize I’d have to go over 4 mountain passes to get there. It was all at night so I had no real idea what it all looked like.

Thank god I was towing with a diesel, would have strained a gasser bad, and I never smelled the brakes once, just rode 3rd gear on the exhaust brake down each one.

Yeah, it is really, really nice to have a diesel for the passes around here. I really like the exhaust brake. What do you have?
