I still have my license and didn't go to jail so...outcome was not so bad. The DA was nice to me.

I got hit with 64 in a 45 at the speed trap on 285 in Morrison.
Cop was chill, asked if I knew why he pulled me over.
I said it must be to give me a warning. Hahaha.
They drop it to a non speeding ticket if you pay right away.
I was polite back and joked around with him.
He said I was taking it better than most of his speeders. I told him I felt like we had a special connection because I just watched CHIPs the night before.

 

I got hit in Georgia less than a mile from my house doing 79 in a 35. was 16 at the time. lost license for 6 months, $210 reinstatement fee, and 6 months probation

 

I kinda figured haha. But i thought I had heard that if you’re clocked 25 over anywhere in the state, the officer can take you to jail at their discretion, I think until you’re processed. It all depends on the situation. If your on e470 and there’s no one around and you’re not flossing traffic but just speeding, probably no jail, but doing 25 over through the city flossing through traffic, driving erratically. Probably gonna take you to jail.

There was no amount on my citiatuon.. just a court date. That was a cluster.

I showed up in person 2 days early for a virtual hearing. I got the information about the virtual hearing 2 weeks after it was alreadt settled.

Looking at my citation, yes that appears to be true as summons was hand written in versus being printed on other vehicle code offenses, but I cant confirm if its 25mph or not.
