Agree, oil temp is more valuable than coolant temp

That was my thought, but I too have a smooth brain and am paranoid that I’m dumping $$$$ into a worthless motor

Think pan temp is good enough? Easy to add a sensor to the pan

Yeah I wasnt looking forward to getting all that on the OBS. Fortunately all I need to add to this is EGT, otherwise I have the sct data screen with all my info.

Then I need to wire in a batter charger to the trailer to run the winch.

If he sells it for $2k I’ll take it. I’m about to be dirt poor here in a couple months once I find a house. That is if I can convince my land lord to extend my lease a month or two so I have time

Fortunately there is room to drill through the inner fender for EGT on the manifold near the rear cylinder on either driver or pass side!

Don't drill all the way into the manifold unless you like exhaust leaks :homer:

Hahahahaha that might be a hard sell. We're shooting clays this weekend so I'll find out what's up with it.

It was running and driving then he blew the turbo oil feed on I-25 and after replacing it he hasn't been able to start it.

Yeah that is another chore on an already busy schedule

I've been needing to put on on the 67 but since 1300+ is an expected temp during regen I haven't worried too much about it

Yeah, I want to get to it before summer, but I am not too worried about it til heat sets in as I generally only tow heavy going west out of CO. Plus id leave it in low tune for passes anyway.

I get to be super overlandy and try the solar panel charger than came on the camper. I pulled it off the trailer for the time being. But think I could get it mounted up and use it to keep the battery up to snuff. May toss both spare red tops on the trailer to make sure it has enough juice. Lord knows I wouldnt trust one red top. Not sure ill trust 2 :bananadead:

My old 7.3 is supposed to be going to copart in denver. It had great compression all around. Ive even considered buying it back at auction. See if I could get a deal on it.

Always loved hauling coil to a new site, and C/M giving "must follow" directions to keep land owner happy that include crossing 10' cattle guards. So they get pissy when you come in a different route.

I liked coil way better than moving compressors/missiles. Always through ft lupton, and always a disaster crossing the tracks or moving power lines. You would almost think we hadnt just done the same thing a few weeks prior. :anonymous:

I gave up on tow rigs. I’m either going to chop a bus or buy a ramp truck.
