I have the longer archive shackles (4.5” I think?) and heavy duty Old Man Emu leaf springs.

the longer shackle isn’t recommended because it allows leaf separation, but I like droop so I got them anyways. Never had issues with it and I use 13.5” of the shocks stroke, even with the axle mount set to high so I’m lacking up travel

Hard pass on OME leaves, but keep me in mind for the other stuff... I'm waiting to hear back from a friend if he's sending me his 12" smooth bodies from his 2015 DCLB.

sweet. Just gauging interest. It’ll all go up for sale when I cut my truck in half after the wheeling season is over

They drop farther than short shackles, but only if your 2nd/3rd gen has a shackle reversal done to it.

No I just have heavy duty hangers. As the leaf spring droops, it pulls the shackle forward and down, the longer the shackle, the further down it pushes the eyelet on the leaf spring. OME designed these leaf springs (all of their Dakar’s) for the Hilux which actually requires a slightly longer spring. The Dakar’s being slightly too short allows this longer shackle set up to fully droop out. Mated to any high quality leaf springs designed for the Tacoma, you wouldn’t get extra droop, because the shackle would be too long to drop out. I spent way too many hours reading this shit to just end up cutting it all off. Oh well

Eh, snow wheeling is fun, but if I was going to make my truck immobile for an extended period of time I’d rather it be winter

Another good source of info for stream data and water storage is Northern Water, for those who like to keep track.
