    I guess it was the "she got kicked out of her airbnb" that made me wonder. Could have been a hot chick that raised too much hell, broke her leg partying, got kicked out of the airbnb and was then walking down the sidewalk on crutches.

    most of what I've seen stuck today has been subarus and cherokees. I think their drivers watched too many commercials.

    I bet that 1990 cherokee would fare a whole lot better today than these late model things with ground effects package and 2" of clearance

    And people not realizing the importance of tires. Most of those subarus would be just fine if they had snow tires, but not on the stock all seasons.

    not on these side streets.
    There are 1'-2' ruts in crusted and slushy snow. My skids leave a smoothed over top. I've seen several wheel well liners in the road.

    Fair enough. In my area, the snow is only a foot or less on the road, and the Cherokee and BMW X5 that I dug out yesterday would both have been fine if they had decent tires.
