When I went from my 1st gen to 2nd gen
the first time the abs kicked in
I freaked the fuck out, thought I broke something lol
I had a ABS off switch installed..

Almost 20 yrs in the 1st gen
I miss that thing sometimes

 

Not sure if your 2008 has DAC, but have you ever heard/felt that kick in? That's fun.

I'm trying to leave you hanging for a bit... let me go reread my thread and figure out your answer.

 

Either of the options in my thread should work without triggering any CEL or ABS Xmas tree on the dash.
If I get bored this summer, we can hang out in your new garage and test it out... It should not take long to remove the glovebox to access the J13 Junction Connector and hook up a testing switch without cutting or tapping any wires. (I don't do that cartoys/best buy hack job anyway).

 

Snow bashed the pile of snow in front of my house hard enough to leave a license plate outline..and half the winch fairlead above it. Didn't even have to leave my house to mall crawl.

 

My garage is going to be awesome.
