I stumbled upon John Popper playing with some of Leftover Salmon at the Strawberry Festival in Glenwood Springs. It was awesome, I was buzzed with my two sons and there was only like a handful of other people in the crowd. It was awesome almost like a private show.
John Popper did not appreciate the fact there was no crowd, or the fact some half drunk guy was singing along way too loud for there being no crowd, or the fact that his teenage sons appeared to have no idea who John Popper was let alone Blues Traveler. But as for me I had a great time.

 

Also the song creep by radiohead. They have such a great catalog and people only know that song.

 

Here's my best friend with John Popper at a USO show in Afghanistan (pretty sure it was afghanistan). He has a picture where John is stepping on his face because my buddies weird. I wanted to ask John if he remembered it when I saw him in Glenwood but he was not interested in interacting with anyone.
He said he had a great time with him though.

 

I should have led into all of this with "did somebody says Blues Traveler?" Since I've been waiting my whole life for someone to randomly bring them up.... Jk

 

Back in the day, Popper was a much larger man.
I'll never forget this big ol fat guy plopping down on a stool, two bandoliers full of harmonicas, 4 harmonicas in each hand and he just starts wailing away on them. The guy plays harmonica like Jimi played the guitar. It's like a whole different instrument than what anyone else is playing.

 

Yeah he was pretty awesome. Remember when he lost all that weight and acted like a psycho on Conan? At least I think it was Conan...

 

Last time I saw them was at Wanee in probably 14 or 15. I didn’t know he had lost all the weight. I was very confused.

It's been a few years but I've used both Bill's Englewood Driveshaft and Front Range Driveline (also in Englewood) with no complaints.

 

I will second Bills. Had them rebuild my shaft **giggity** when I crunched it a few years back. Great product and service with no complaints here.
