I found a damn good Irish red from firehouse I think that I love. Used to always go with avalanche but I've since have found better Amber's and reds.

Ok, well to get off the topic of beer, anyone been up and around the durango area to fish at all recently? I am headed up there for the weekend. Gonna spend some time learning how to fly fish a river, as well as take a trip to that potato lake for a super gimicky attempt for a hike-in lake.

There is plenty of info out there for river fishing reports, but I want to know about some of the local lakes, preferably just molas lake, potato lake... or really any lake in the area and what the recent bite/behavior is like.

I will be confined to shore access, as the gf is coming with her dog.

Dunno if it will be open, but Clear Lake near Silverton is super nice. Saw people fishing that when I took my parents up there a couple summers ago

Does anyone know why I keep seeing US flags at ½ mast this last week? It's been .gov buildings for the most part.

The high lakes are not open yet. We're still skiing up there. 4-6" of fresh snow today. River fishing is about all that is available. Vallecito and Lemon dam roads are open, but water is extremely low.

Thanks for the replies & recommendations @JasonLee @skier. Those higher altitude lakes may have to be put on hold for another time then.

Would rather spend the time in an area thats forested. Sorry, being from AZ, I like to treat myself.
