You can mitigate avy danger with the time of day. Getting an alpine start (really fucking early) will help with the wet-slides since the snow will be harder. Also, prepare for hard-pack/icy conditions at the top. Storms will also start early afternoon so keep an eye on the reports.

My friend and I has an attempt on the Diamond Casual Route. We had to climb a low angle snow field at the base to reach the start of the climb, about 200yds. Well that morning, alpine start, the shit was rock hard compare to a slush field the previous afternoon. So scaling this ice field, hands and feet, in the dark, with a death slide below us to a scree field was no bueno. Was using a nut tool to jam into the ice. We made it though. Unfortunately, the group above us, also my friends took a 60-70ft fall on the approach 300 ft up and we had to rescue him down and call in a heli. He's fine and still climbing stronger than me.

    Damn!

    Yeah gotta be careful.

Will there still be skiing up there during this time? Or is this too late in the year for good skiing/boarding?

Not quite sure where the good coverage will be. If you'er heading up to ski, stick to slopes under 30 degrees if you have no experience in the backcountry.

If I did any skiing or boarding it would be on slopes with an instructor LOL I wouldn't climb up to ski down anywhere.

I'd be surprised if that tent ever gets slept in whilst camping. Probably just used for opening up in the woods and posting to the gram. Then close up and drive back home to read the comments and count the likes.
