Between that and how hard it would be to get under a Prius will hopefully make them move on to next target. Nothing is going to be Full Proof, its like Surprising a Bear in the woods, you just need to be faster than the slowest person to live.

 

I wish my neighbor was in to ricers, instead I get to listen to a 6.2L LS with headers and a full 3" exhaust all the way back. Cold start and rev every day and night.

My neighbor’s kid, who still lives at home even though he’s in his 30s, has a WRX (replete with his Instagram account stickers to his window), that warms up for 20 mins at 6:15am every. fucking. morning.

I know what you mean and it's frustrating. This dude was revving it at 8am today. 10 pm? midnight? 3am? no qualms about revving it or hauling ass in and out of the neighborhood. He's regularly coming and going in the middle of the night to street race.

A buddy with a loud GTI wanted to apologize in advance for his exhaust when he was coming over. I laughed and told him it wasn't gonna be an issue. We're standing in the garage having a beer when said neighbor cold starts his car. My buddy flinched and said "holy shit, you weren't joking".

He's had several interactions with the police, myself, and another neighbor. He just doesn't care.

 

Sucks dude. I've always liked quiet vehicles. I can't imagine the nuisance of hearing that drone/fart/crap while always driving.

It's like, "dude... you're daily driving around Boulder County. You're not Carroll Shelby in Le Mans."

And also fuck the street racers. A gaggle of those fucking idiots were racing past me on 36 when I had my daughter in the car. No regard for anyone else on the road. If I had a flame thrower I would have torched their cars to the ground while they were parked in their garages.

 

He told me he has to be careful now after he got pulled for something like 40 over street racing on Arapahoe.
I guess he has a good lawyer and was able to plea down

Being careful meant dropping $1000 on a nice radar detector so he won't get caught again
