I like steak. Only place I've yet to experience a better steak than I make at home.

Ugh, now I'm being asked to disassemble the truck again and measure the chassis. Just refund me the bolts or send me ones that fit please.

@TomTomBikes - do you still have your bolts? It may be helpful with another data point of these bolts out of spec and I can get a refund to buy some that will work.

That's quite annoying. I told you that you could not have been the only one with this problem.

The weekend happened and I forgot all about it. It's on my list for today after work.

Saxon Mountain in Clear Creek County is in danger of being closed 'termporarily' and/or permanently. The Clear Creek County Sheriff and County Comissioners will discuss options reguarding this road tomorrow at a Comission Meeting.

Hey fellas, I'm looking to purchase a 2nd Gen Tacoma. Are there any years I should avoid?

In this market, you'd be looking at a 2.0 gen (2005-2011) with high mileage for that price. Or a salvage title.

I went through the 2nd gen search last year and it took me a good 6 months to find an acceptable one - still at a premium.
2005 - these earlier ones had a head gasket that tended to fail. It was revised mid-2006 model.
2009 (or 2011) side curtain airbags standard
2012 - "SAIS" Secondary Air Injection System introduced. Filter element disentegrates and fails, which is why there is a recall/replacement campaign for these. Later models (2013+ I believe) are not covered by the campaign, so they changed the filter. "CHeap" insurance is the "uni-filter mod"
2013 - Last year of the regular/single cab
2015 - Last year of the (2nd) best gen.

Why does that steak have some liquidy shit on it? A good steak does need that extra crap to mask its flavor.

Big thanks for the information! Is there an easy way to tell which 2006 models had the head gasket issue revised? I'm assuming by the date that's on the label on the driver's side door jam?

Yes, the date code will tell you when it was made.
11/05 is the start of when they started using the fixed head gasket in the factories.

@JasonLee Here’s what I got. The bolts fit into the bushings, but something about this didn’t fit my truck and that’s why they’re not on there. I think the pin was bolt was too big for the shackle? That would make sense.

4wheelparts came out with a 3rd Gen front bumper. I think it looks good and the price point isn’t to shabby either.
