Yeah, that sucks majorly.

Yeah. Until Douchebag McGee and his bufu buddy Dumbass Cumstein decided to drive up the FR at 12:30am and literally drove into our dispersed camping nook…V8 rumbling and headlights blaring on our tent.

I got out in my skivvies, definitely half cocked to the right, and walked up to the driver’s side window and said, “you kidding me?”

“Sorry we’re just looking for a spot.”

If my dumbass pittie mix wasn’t such a softy I’d have yelled, “sick balls Chopper!”

Their solution was to drive 20’ up the road, drive off trail into nothing that even resembled a dispersed camping spot, keep their POS Ford running for the next 30 mins while they clear enough of a spot to set up a tent and fire ring.

Then they dipped at 6:30am today. So I walked up to look at where they could have possibly camped and found their fire ring, embers still smoldering from this morning’s fire, and of course 3 cans of Dinty Moore just tossed into it.

I need to find spots where I don’t run into McGees and Cumsteins.

 

Thanks, I just need a time machine so I don't park there.

 

Ugh I hate that shit, I've been there before.


Last time I camped outside Ouray i set up camp and was up until 1 am waiting for my X to arrive since she worked late that night. A half a dozen people blasting music with light bars m and the works rolled up and asked if there was more campsites ahead. i asked if it looked like the trail went further. They would say no. I would say yeah, this is the end.... They'd do the same shit, idle for 15-30 minutes while they looked at maps with their 2g service before turning around and driving away.

This sucks. I hope you get some kind of retribution from it.

 

I think this is my sign. I assume this whole process is going to take months with how labor is and finding a good body shop these days, so I'm going to probably list the camper for sale and when the truck is done, just sell it.
Winter is coming soon (first snow in about a month, right?) so an old Civic with snow tires will take me and my skis around to the backcountry skiing trailheads I'll be doing. And I'll just go back to tent camping for a while.

 

My sister would probably trade her civic for your truck. It's already tinted and the AC just got fixed

That doesn't fix the "issue" that a new RAV4 has more power and is much quicker with more than twice the MPGs...
