Can any of you run a couple of CarFax/AutoCheck/etc for me? Maybe you have one of those unlimited plans or something.

Yes I know about the "Free Autocheck" thread, but the guy hasn't been on here for a few weeks and I haven't received a response.

well that’s good to know lol.

I was interested in taking measurements of drawers and getting a feel for the two different boxes.

    Girlfriend is selling the Subaru.
For my truck, I'm getting a report before and after this hit and run is fixed so I can pursue a diminished value claim after the work has been completed.

Insert generic rant about how I'm getting screwed by the insurance company and I'm likely paying a couple thousand dollars out of my own pocket for someone elses f*** up on the hit and run of my truck even though I have Under-/un-insured coverage because they are only estimating from crappy cell phone pics.

I'm pretty sure that shouldnt happen. Won't they take a quote from a trusted shop of their choosing or an adjuster?

Apparently ~2 years ago State Farm focused on the bottom line and have a network of not so highly rated body shops that they highly encourage you to use.
If you shop around for quality work, they aren’t covering the difference.

One example: They think it’s possible to “repair” my broken, cracked, split fender flares and rather than having replace them.

Is it time to start using language like "good faith" with them? Take it to your shop of choosing for an estimate. See how far off you are....

    I did. $4000 difference.

I basically said good faith without stating it… multi-policy holder of >15 years with no claims the entire time.
