I'm headed out to Colorado two weeks from now for some camping and passes, don't worry, I follow all the regulations set and don't set fires when it's not permitted. Anyone have any good ideas for trails / camping? I have a rtt and plan on hitting mosquito pass again, I attempted to do schofield last year but it got dark and I didn't have anyone with me just in case. Any suggestions are appreciated! I would like to check out black bear but definitely not if I'm the only truck doing it - I'd rather run a convoy

Hunters (archery and muzzle loader) will be out in full force during your stint, too.

Yeah I was out there in the second week of october last year and caught the very end of the colors. Aspen and Eldora still had a good amount of yellow but I could tell it was the end haha

any good camping spots on the way? I wouldn't mind remote and not in a campground. I stayed in avalanche campground before going to crystal mill last time I was out there, that site wasn't too bad, real close to a stream too which was nice.

Cottonwood Pass turns into a dispersed camping road (FR 340 I believe). Gets really crowded on the weekends though.

Bonus is the Cottonwood Hot Springs to soak in.

Anyone in need of some FJ parts?
My buddy has a complete OEM roof rack, bug deflector, a pair of pop-out side windows(NIB) and possibly some used Fox suspension(non-resi, doing a suspension swap this weekend). I think he's got a ladder that mounts to the FJ itself also.
