The wind last two days killed my flag pole holder. Pretty much just took the anchors I had in the brick right out. Drilling/mounting with brick is a new thing for me, normally its qood/drywall, any pointers for solid anchoring?

Easiest option is blues and screws like you would on drywall. They make them for brick/block/concrete. Definitely not the sturdiest, but it’s the easiest

brick sucks to anchor to. Especially a flag pole in the wind. Surface area is key to keeping that flag pole in place. Mount the flag pole holder to a larger flat piece of steel, 11 gauge would be fine. You can paint the brick pattern on it if it's a big deal. Then anchor that, using Tapcon screws, into the brick. The regular holder by itself is just flexing the screws right out. Tapcon screws are very specific on the size hole you drill, so read the box and get the right masonry bit for it. Generally a 1/4" Tapcon requires a 3/16" hole, I'd go at least 2" in length.
Edit, you mighty have better luck drilling into the mortar. It's much easier to repair than holes in brick.

Hunted area 20 this weekend for cow elk and buck deer. I could not believe how many people were up there hiking during 3rd rifle season. WTF?

Indeed it is, but damn. I encountered way more people than I expected and many were not even aware that it is 3rd rifle season in Colorado.

Buddy, GMU 20 is like trying to hunt in a city park... Unless you can plan a late season Dec/Jan hunt.
