In theory sure, but now that I live in an HOA, as far as I can tell, the only thing they do is snoop around and fine people. They don’t mow anything other than the park/area around the pool. They don’t plow the street. You have to pay extra to access the pool. But if I don’t pull my trash can behind my fence by 8am the day after it’s picked up, I’ll get a fine. They are just there to collect money and piss people off.



That being said, I’ve also broken every single rule they have, with broken trucks, trailers, campers, chassis, etc. being in my driveway this past year, and the only warning I have received was for a slide in camper sitting in the driveway. They attached a picture of the camper from 8/15. The warning showed up 12/10 and I was told to remove the camper by 12/20, and it had been gone since the end of September…… so they aren’t even good at collecting money

 

Yeaahhh... we live in the scrub metro districts up here tho.

People in our neighborhood have an FB page (like many), and just willingly out one another or talk shit about their neighbors / neighboring properties on a public page. Friggin idiots, man, it just makes the Districts job a thousand times easier to drive to a property and issue a fine. No such thing as a good neighbor anymore unless your neighbor is a stand of pines and/or a heard of ungulates.

 

My neighborhood has a couple of Facebook groups too. One of my neighbors is always telling me about the absurd shit people are posting on there about each other. Luckily I ended up on the outskirts of the neighborhood with a bunch of genuinely good neighbors around me. When they finished the houses and Toyota 4x4s started to park in the driveway I knew it was going to be fun

 

Have you tried playing wisest wizard solo while you do the loudest yard work possible as early as possible? Bonus points for loud obnoxious music from ICP or KottonMouthKings playing while you mow or use a hammer

 

What do I do with old road flares? The hazardous waste disposal facility does not accept them.

 

Have you tried reaching out to your local Fire / Police Dept?

Anyone up in Arvada able to TW express some Audi/VW wheels down to my neck of the woods? DTC, Parker, Castle Rock? The misses smacked a huge pothole and trashed the rim

 

If anyone is in the market a puppy or two, I'm fostering these, and they're going up for adoption this week. Not sure on breed, we think German Shepard, great Pyrenees and/or some type of herding dog. Around 8 weeks old, and very fluffy. They're chipped and soon to be snipped. Black one is male, the others are female.
