I haven’t hit him up for awhile but I thought he was slowing down on the side work.
im wondering if it’s worth it to buy complete diffs from ECGS or buy parts and have the labor done locally.

I'd still try to chat with Brian and see if he's interested or has time later in the year. Start stacking parts in the meantime.

I just went with ecgs and had them add an Eaton e locker up front. I have the trd e locker in the rear. Maybe spend a bit more than diy or a shop but they offer a 5 year warranty and I've never had a problem with them honoring the warranty. ~$3k for front and rear gears and Eaton e locker iirc

What’s up everyone! I’m visiting Evergreen, CO with the family for the next few days and figured I’d see if there is any recommendations in the area.

Id love to get a little wheeling in, but I’m limited in a Jeep Wrangler 4x rental with highway tires and most trails are probably impassable.

Anyone know why the cv axle rides so far out on the inner joint? 3A5CE4DD-1DD0-4B17-81CF-3F3F28668C9C.jpg

Looks a bit short, is it the right one for your truck? I saw your exploits in the trip thread, was wondering it was a replacement at some point.

No, it has been the original axle that came with that diff when I did the 4wd conversion.

normal driving has been fine but after this trip it’s piped out 3 times on trail..
from what I can tell there oem axles

Dumb question, but is the front diff actually centered? How does the other side compare for length?

Both sides(CVs) are the same length but the diff is not centered.

Shouldent be, there both gusseted. can’t see how it wound get off center when there’s 3 mounting points, but havent had the time to check it today.

Wondering if the spc uca is all the way out and so is the lower rear cam tab. Maybe it’s pushed too far out?
