Stranger Danger. Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing good. Jumped on to ask the 1gener’s to see if anyone knew how to test a sending unit. Mine hasn’t been working and would like to learn the steps how to test it and troubleshoot what’s the issue.

 

"OH yeah I'll just do my ball joints today. Shouldn't take more than a few hours I'll be done by noon.?"

5 hours later I'm having a bad time. The inner rearward bolt head is snapped. And the outer was just. MIA. Glad I'm doing this but now as you can see. I'm stuck

I struggled through a ball joint replacement back in May that I thought was going to be smooth sailing.... Nothing to add to help your situation other than pointing out that you are not alone in the struggles to do this....

 

Torch on the bench did the trick

 

It's a nightmare lol. Since I have the knuckle off the truck I think ill take them to a shop to have wheel bearings done as well. They're sticking

Anyone have a trustworthy shop recommendation.?
