    Yes.
Another primer option for you is to use
a primer with zinc in it which helps minimize corrosion.
I got that tip from Lee at Pristine Powder Coating, who coated my armor. I use it to protect my armor from previous seasons scratches.

And now, the boring mansplain :cookiemonster:
Zinc rich primers contain a high concentration of zinc dust. The sacrificial zinc, when in contact with steel, oxidizes instead of the underlying metal surface. It takes years for the breakdown of the zinc additives, and until then, the metal surface will not oxidize.

    Greetings from TX,
thinking about visiting you guys here next week.
Never been to CO but need a week of nature and spending time with God. (and leave this heat for a bit)
Was thinking about camping out somewhere in South CO in my 01.
I saw this thread come up in the homepage, figured I'd check in.
What are some cool things to do in the state that won't break the bank?

Welcome! Make sure you have your recovery kit, shovel, etc. You may not need it and you might meet someone that could use the help.

It will snow/hail/grapul/rain above 7000’ at the blink of an eye out here. Fire danger is, well don’t make a fire unless it is in its own contained thing. Ice, water-hydration, sunscreen, clothing and bedding for being alive around 32* are needed.

Your fav alcohol consumption at home will wreck you here.

If you eat more than one serving of edibles at a time, you will be more wrecked than drinking; your body will absorb the plant at different levels/times from your lips to bung hole.
