    :puke:

nope, no way, never again. I have had too many USA-made VW Rabbit GTIs.

15" x 5.5" Ronal made, where else would they go? German wheels on a proper German Golf GTI which is #notarabbit (I have more money in the initial purchase of the wheels and center caps than the initial purchase of the GTI!)

My Prius sucks. Bone jarring on everything.

My 98 Tacoma sucks. Stiff OME ride and an empty bed that bucks like a mad bull.

My 04 Tacoma sucks. Broheim previous owner put a 2” spacer lift up front. No articulation. Nard jarring on any bump.

Makes me appreciate driving my GF’s Murano Platinum Edition. So smooth. And a heated steering wheel to boot.

True. The math would say 29/30 of the traffic should go back to where it came from. Not even a chance of that happening. I'm from here and there is no place else I'd rather be so I totally get it.

Thanks for the info. Everywhere I can find it wants over $150. LOL. Would you be able to share a source for the $80 price range. Even that pill is hard to swallow but better than $150. I'm looking for something better than than the Amazon specials. Thanks!

    What haven’t I changed?
    No it won’t. It’s a Hilux, not a Taco.

We chatted about rust prevention and such and I guess he's pretty good with it and plans to coat it.. Though I know there's mixed feelings about doing it properly or at all

And of course since I had it pending, shortly after I had a cash offer from a guy who was waiting to close on his house. He said he never reached out since he wasn't a right then and there buyer.. Poor guy missed it by a few days. He also has a RHD Toyota Soarer, honestly would have liked to sell it to him being he more so wanting a collector.. but hopefully the new owner will enjoy it as much as I did

the buyer paid the money. Regardless of the location, they know what they bought and what they have to do to keep it alive. There is no better home for your baby than your own driveway. But sometimes you gotta let them go.

I was amazed when I moved over here at the shite build quality of USA VW's. Had a mk1,2 & 4 back in the UK and they were all solid as F. I bought a mk3.5 cabriolet in HI to run around in and had to do sooo much to it. One of the biggest problems was plastic components failing.

I remember going the cheap route with some Mexican chrome bumpers on my '59 Beetle, ended up rusting within the year!

Love my Baja built Taco though.

I was honestly more attached to my Tacoma when I sold it.. The Hilux was definitely cool, head turner, conversation starter, but wasn't too hard to let go.

In the middle 90s I worked for a VW /Audi dealership and got many certifications for service, parts, etc from VWoA and AoA.
USA build quality is fkn horrible. I would chose a Brazilian VW first which are awful. MEX builds are damn good, German builds being the best.
This was totally apparent after many USA Rabbits and Rabbit Trucks compared to way too many Dashers, Quantum’s, and quattros.
I did own my ‘82 Golf GTI while I still had my built for DSP autoX ‘84 Rabbit GTI for 3 years and the Golf is superior in every way.

I was internally excited my Tacoma was built in MEX.
