My favorite part about being a Broncos fan lately is talking about how good we’re going to be next year. Go Broncos! :taco:

    Funny you mention that.

You might want to call ahead. The Costco locations in Superior and Wesminster didn't have them in stock. I ended up going to the Thornton location off I-25 and highway 7.

are awnings worth the cost and setup headache? How about with the room attachments? Do you use them enough to justify the cost and burden of carrying around the room attachment?

I had the annex room on my old RTT. It was heavy, came in a huge bag, but during some winter camping and rain storms it came in clutch. Just threw the Buddy Heater on the floor to heat up the entire tent. I kept the doggos down there as well. In the future if/when I go back to an RTT I'll at least get the awning with the room attachment to keep the kiddos in. For the extra 10 mins it took to set up I thought it was worth it

Yes to awnings, no to the wall kits. They are great in the summer sun, great in the rain, and I've had mine out partying in the snow at ski resort parking lots too. I had the ARB standard style rollout one, and it was great but honestly a bit of a pain to roll up solo. Now I have the AluCab 270 and it is insanely easy to deploy and repack by myself, and is very sturdy without putting down any legs. I would advocate for a 270 instead of the standard style, but they do come with a higher cost. I didn't use the wall kit for either of them, but if it was just more than me and the dog I think it's a great way to add additional enclosed space.

    No.

Only if your camping style involves hanging around somewhere hot all day with no other shade available, or if it rains way more than it does here.

Silly overlanders should be doing something all day and not sitting by their truck. :stirthepot:

Depends on your use case. I have an ARB room for the big 8’ awning for sale. CHEAP ($50). I got it from a Lexus Overlander in the middle of their trip and they had not used it for a few states and were changing up their packing. I decided that awnings didn’t fit my style of use, so the room was only used by them a few times. I opened it up in the basement to check out out.

they are doing things - posting videos on how to cook bacon in a skottle and the 3rd video this week of their DIY skateboard bearing pull out drawer system.

i love my awning. Originally had a 270 degree one that need more help than i wanted to deal so i picked up mine from @JasonLee. My friend was giving me shit about leaving it on during the winter but then opened it the next morning in the parking lot to make breakfast while it was snowing and completely changed his mind. i would like to get a bigger one eventually but this perfect for now. and super light

someone said he might be getting $15-25mil/ yr. Even if he's axed after 1 season that's a nice pay out

Drinking and driving is frowned upon. Maybe one has to sit by their truck in the shade of self-regret and awnings.

Not in my experience. I had one and concluded it’s not worth it.

Got a tripod and a cheap Amazon patio shade cloth. It sets up faster, takes up less room, doesn’t create wind drag & noise, and doesn’t add a ton of weight up high. Way, way better for my needs, at least.

But then, I also ditched my whole roof rack too, so I’m not a fan of stuff on my roof at all.
