I feel it should stay illegal if allowed like in California. It makes traffic too unpredictable. Now if traffic is stopped or speeds less than 15mph I feel filtering is appropriate. Motorcycle speeds shouldn't be greater than 10mph of surrounding traffic.

Squids won't care if it is legal though.

Riding side by side in a single lane should also be illegal in CO. I love when the Sons of Anarchy have their handlebars hanging over in my oncoming lane.

I agree about the part that people should not be going 10 over the limit on a motorcycle to “lane split” while traffic is going slow. But lane filtering is safer for the motorcyclist AND reduces traffic when they are able to accelerate faster and be way out front of traffic from intersections.

A few years ago, I really upset some dude in a huge truck by lane splitting at a red light and then when it turned green he tried chasing after me, putting me, him, and everyone else on the road in danger to PROVE A POINT (old-man-shaking-fist-at-cloud.bmp).

Longmont, actually, so that might just work! What time are you down this way?

I think lane filtering up to the front at lights makes sense. I'm not a fan of lane splitting. Even at 10mpg under the speed of traffic (which is Cali's "recommendation". I don't think it's part of the law the last I looked up) it's still a pretty decent speed a bike can come up behind you without seeing them while you're changing lanes.

It's to nice to be working today. Had some beers while washing and waxing the trucks. Now it's time to get them dirty again.

Finally got the wheels from @TomTomBikes on with new Michelins. I waited until the old tires were done followed by winter tires on the stock wheels. I think you had 235/45s on there which is what I went with. Slightly larger than stock
