Yeah, I hate to say it but Denver has kinda gone to shit. Last time I was there I walked into 7/11 downtown in the late afternoon, two dudes pretty blatantly smoking crack in the vestibule. I walked out with my friends we were walking down the street talking about it, half block down and one of them pointed out a foil on the ground with black trails on it. I’m not here to judge people for doing drugs or really whatever they want to do with their lives but the way it’s so in your face in the heart of town is a bit off putting.

The drug use is a mental health issue. We should help people struggling with mental health who are stuck in the cycle. Relapse is part of recovery and thus the cycle is hard to break... Be compassionate. Mental health breakdowns can happen to anyone and lead to undesirable outcomes with haste. It's not as simple as they should just accept the help that is offered. Be compassionate. They are still our community and improving your community takes work and forgiveness and empathy.

Fort Collins/summitstone is building Longview med center on trilby and shields to support the growing need in our community. It's complex and no standard fix as every situation is unique.

Lack of affordable housing and drastic increase in cost of living cannot be ignored when talking about homelessness in Denver (really most of Colorado).

There's a reason I call this place Texacalirado now.

And she probably found a program that offered help to her and her kids.

But ol dipshit high as a kite Johnny over here on the 16th street mall throwing rocks and flipping tables cause he's hallucinating with a needle hanging out of his arm won't look for help, won't accept help and would rather yell at a pigeon for 5 hours.

There's shitty circumstances as to why most are homeless and there's also a lot of programs that offer help. But as Becca said, you can only lead a horse to water..

Small sample size, I know…but I used to volunteer at the education center for a homeless shelter for teens in Denver. Population of approx 50. 100% of them were homeless for circumstances well out of their, or their parents’, control. In my year+ time there not once did I encounter a family who chose to be homeless or spent their money on drugs rather than shelter, etc.

Of course there are those out there who choose this lifestyle but I’d say for the vast majority of them it’s not.

Like I said, this situation (that’s getting worse) sucks all around.

Not saying it's not a fitting name but I've met more midwestern folks than TX and CA.

at least Bandimere gave some notice. There is something else going on "Effectively immediately, Atco Dragway is permanently closed. We will not be open from this point on. The remainder of our schedule from 2023 will be canceled."

don't run it alone for your first time, you won't make it. Go with someone who has run it and survived.

lifted the lid on my scrap metal box and was greeted with these little bastards.
    Gave them a bubble bath.

Found another nest in some metal tubing, they got the same treatment.

Cheap ass Chinese Prime air cleaner cover, did not come with the appropriate cutout at the bottom to allow better airflow. Bought this to replace the football cover that looks like a ham can.
    My solution.

    She'll go way faster now.
Also have new Accel plug wires coming (matching red color just because there was an option for it) to replace the 21 year old original HD crap and a new brake pedal pad to offset the newly found speed. :D
