If anyone is interested we've got a trip going up Cascade Creek(Idaho Springs) to camp on Friday and then coming down Spring Creek Saturday. We're going to find something on the other side of I-70 to wheel and camp Saturday night (maybe Red Elephant or Bill Moore Lake).

It’s really not that bad. You get used to it, at least during the day. At night is when the heat gets to me. 10PM and it's still 108. Life goes on. I’m out in it all day talking to our customers and the guys in our steel yard are as well. Stop watching the fear mongering news, it’s not that bad. 5 million people live in the greater Phoenix area. I’ve got more a problem with that than the heat.

plus, when you’re freezing you ass off this winter I’ll be at the pool

It’s amazing what a $60K a year pay bump will do to help you forget all about swamp ass. Only reason I moved down here. If it means I can stock the extra away and retire early, I’ll deal with it.

I suffer from the same affliction, hot or cold. It’s just a way of life for me at this point.

Prescott is still pretty touristy, especially on the weekends with all the valley people trying to get away. I-17 north out of Phoenix and I-70 west out of Denver are the same. Don’t leave town on a Friday afternoon or come back on a Sunday afternoon unless you want to sit in endless traffic. The Pinetop-Show Low area is nice and not as easy to access. Jerome would be cool if you could find a place to live. Payson is also nice.

If the compact water laws get majorly revised, as they should, Arizona is going to have a lot more to worry about than just the heat.

I ask because my previous employer has offered me substantial compensation to come back to them; with the caveat being I need to move to AZ before rehire.

So I'm kicking the idea around.

    Arvada folks:
The City of Arvada offers tax rebates to qualified residents through the Resident Rebate Program. The Program runs from May through August. Rebate amounts are $85 for the first person and $50 for additional persons. Partial residency rebates are offered on a pro-rated basis.

That is the only reason I came back. Lived here briefly 20 years ago then went back home to CO. The job offer down here was too good to pass up. Whereabouts?

Little guy seems to have taken up residence in the bushes by the front door.
Every time I open the garage door, he comes out to greet me, hops around the garage, pees, and back out to his bush. Little smaller than a quarter.
