It's tough to quit when living in a state that promotes binge drinking throughout the year.
October 21st will be one year for me. Although I did go out on my birthday a couple weeks ago for a few beers and delicious well whiskey. Scary part was that it went down like water and had no ill effects the next day.

Toughest part is getting past the Fomo at your regular establishment.
Best part was realizing how much money you save and what else you can do with the monies you save. Two new bikes in the stable are a testament to that.

Thats awesome man. power to ya'. I'm sure we'd all be horrified if we knew how much money we spent on booze every year.

 

it will be my 6th year this year (covid doesn't count). It helps if you are a member of the homebrewers association. Get early access and discounted tickets.
Like everything in this country, prices are always going up.

Actually, does anyone know if schofield pass is open these days? Last time I was here there was a rockslide. But that was a few years ago.

 

That's the entrance to the hiking trail for St. Mary's Glacier, I would advise against driving up it unless you want to get bombarded by "outdoors" influencers.

 

Hear me out… or drive up it and “accidentally” rid the world of all the outdoor influencers.

I went to every one from 94-99. They stopped serving in glass in 2000.

 

Uhhh … all the talk of staying dry makes me thirsty.

Last day in Dublin, toured the Guinness Storehouse. Had a pint with a picture of my wife and I imprinted on the foam.


Then had another pint at the bar where they teach the proper way to pour a Guinness. My attempt to draw a shamrock in the foam failed. Always present the glass with the golden harp facing the customer.


Then had another pint at the 7th floor Gravity bar which was quite the party with a view of a rainbow over the city.


Then had another beer at dinner before heading back to the hotel.

What a fun way to end our trip to Ireland.

 

Better be a plastic container!
Go get aluminum or stainless steel flask for next time.

 

The crane index is quite high for last I knew about their economy.

 

The Dublin economy looks to be thriving. For whatever reason, it attracts immigrants from Brazil. Servers from three different restaurants were Brazilian.
