We used Apex Plumbing in April of 2022 and they were great. The cost was about 80% of what Plumbline and Applewood wanted to charge and included going the final “mile” from the sidewalk to the street. Shutting down Quebec was fun.

Ours included a lot of work in the basement. The house originally had two lines out. We abandoned both existing lines, crossed over to the other side of the house and did an all new line out to the street.

You'd think Denver PD could sit in an unmarked car and catch a few of these pricks.

Doing the math, that's on average 157 thefts per month/5 per day. Seems like shooting fish in a barrel.

I'm sure their resources are lacking but I would imagine they could shift to at least sit out there for a few days or something..

Prolly the same crews doing it too, after a few arrests, that count should drop pretty quick.
The head honcho will of course supply a new crew, but it's a cycle that can be reduced.

Yeah this was in the link:
BRIGHTON, Colo. — Thirteen people have been indicted on more than 120 counts after they allegedly stole vehicles from the Denver International Airport, Adams County and the Denver metro area.

There's one of those useless mobile camera towers set up in the middle of the lot. My car was at least 15 rows away.

I thought they took pics or video of every plate and occupant entering and exiting public parking. Given most cars used to transport the perps are usually stolen, wouldn't they be flagged instantly as stolen vehicle entering parking lot?

I honestly have no idea what that thing is...

    HP can eat my ass.
On the hunt for my 4th printer in 14 years.
The last one made it 7 years, so not bad and it was an HP model. It had the ability to connect to the internet, but I never used it. A simple USB cord between all devices was enough for reliable operation.
Enter the new age of EVERYTHING MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET!.
    Fuck that.
Ordered another HP model last night, had decent reviews, but they did leave a few questions.
Anyway, shows up today, thank you Jeff, unboxed it, read thru the 4 pages of easy to start instructions. Says it MUST be connected to the internet to work, but it has the USB connection too.
Installed the app on the phone because it was recommended. Ok, that worked. Did the setup and Printed with my phone for the very first time ever in 65 years! Fuckin cool.
It provided links to send to the rest of the devices to install the drivers for them. Cool, that worked too, drivers installed, laptop and chromebook both recognize the printer and everything says all systems go.
total time spent at this point, about 30 minutes, so that made me happy.
But nothing else will print. No Quickbooks, laptop, chromebook, none of the things that need to work, but I can print the hell out of meme's and text massages.
    Tech support.
30 minutes with a virtual assistant going in circles, finally asking if I would like someone to call me, yes please.
Had to run thru the whole signing in process to supply a serial number.
Accepted, sign in again, virtual assistant is back, wtf, another 30 minutes of circles and finally asks for a phone number, someone is available to call you now.
Gave phone number and get the message:

"Due to technical issues we are unable to call at this time, please try again later"

    End conversation.

Really? Tech support can't get past dialing a phone? Or at least put me in a queue? Go fuck yourself HP.

Had the printer in my possession for a total of 5 hours before contacting Jeff for a return label and taking it to UPS.

Trying a Canon next for the first time, it's dumb as fuck, still uses a USB and disk for the driver and doesn't know what wi-fi is. Reviews say it's noisy but works. :notsure:

Just buy the printer from Costco.

When the thing doesn't work or they inevitably stop making ink cartridges for your model, return it.

Then buy another one from Costco.

    Good point.
For now, just curious to see what happens when I finally get a printer to connect, how many pages of bullshit are backed up on both devices waiting for a printer to connect to? Because I tried numerous times with different files, devices, with and without the cord, sacrificed a chicken, etc...
Prolly need to replace the ink that same day.
