Did you just invent a perpetual motion machine? Thank goodness! It about time someone perfected that design. Congrats! Our energy and global warming concerns are no more! :cookiemonster:

This was invented about 90 years before my time, or around 130-140 years ago.
The Perpetual Motion machine has already been invented, but those who talk about it tend to go missing...

I hope none of you are stuck in that shit show holiday traffic. I-225 appears to be at a standstill.
And if you are, please travel safe and watch out for the other guy.

“7E8 this is not code but a menu for the engine data stream. You will also have a 7E9 and this is for the transmission.

Different scan tools display engine powertrain, transmission, and ABS system separately. These 3 control modules allow the scan tool to read data.

The fault codes will be in the engine control module, but the 7E8 is letting you know there are codes. You need to select the engine control module to read those codes. The same for 7E9.

When you retrieve the codes (if there are any), signal back if you need assistance in the code meaning.”

Cheapest is to read for OBDII diagnostic codes like the P0172 (as an example).

Swing on by this weekend and you can have my WiFi OBDII device that pairs to your phone. Download some free software and scan (or pay the $20ish for enhanced scanning capabilities).

OBD Fusion is the main app I was using on my iPhone with the 1st gen when I had a scan gauge. Now I have an ultra gauge in the 2nd gen and laptop with Techstream for anything advanced.

Could be as easy as cleaning your MAF. Do not touch it with anything, clean it by spraying with CRC Mass Air Flow cleaner ($10-20 at auto parts store).

while you are in there, look in the intake to see if dirt, oil or other contaminants are in there signaling a potential worse problem.

Anybody have a lead on any shops doing screaming deals on tires for black friday or cyber Monday. Figure if it's a good enough deal I'll spring for some new shoes for the tundra. Cheapest deal I found was 1500 and change for Cooper AT3 295/70R18

You should manual swap the 2004 before sliders.

    MT ftw

I was scared the 6 speed wasn't going to be durable in the 2nd Gen but I've given mine a bit of hell from time to time and wheeling a manual is way more rewarding and engaging even if an auto is smoother and easier

Not a bad price! @Madjik_Man would just need to source a 2004 ECU from a non double cab 4x4 manual and that’s it!
