Guess not. Crotch goblins are 100% deductible in the year they are born. A Dec. 31st 2023 baby is deductible in 2023 and 2024 taxes (and another 18 yrs)

I would be interested to hear your experience with FAMLI. Colorado has been deducting for that the second half of 23 and people can only claim starting in 24. My guys will never have to worry about it. I will not make them go to the government for paid time off. My fear is that, just like social security and unemployment, this is just the newest slush fund to be misappropriated and siphoned off.

Just ordered a 16" pizza and large calzone from Mama Roni's. This is my version of milk and bread for the incoming storm.
It was actually a better deal than Taco Bell for the $. And it's delivered.

I wonder how many people, instead of their employer taking care of them, will now be told "Yeah, we gave that money to the government so you'll have to try and get it from them"
Ever have to file for unemployment? Once they steal our money, it becomes their money and you're lucky to get a small percentage of it back. How much better off would people be if every dollar they've paid into social security or unemployment were returned to them? This will be the same thing. When they've siphoned every penny off of this scam, they'll come for your 401k and IRA too. They know how to spend it better than you do.

These people don't care about you and they are not your friend.

Don't fall into that trap. There is no difference at all between the letter R and the letter D. It is a fabrication designed to keep us fighting each other instead of paying attention to what they're doing. If you listen to their noise, you'll hear them say very different things but if you shut that off and watch what they do, you'll notice that they do the exact same thing.
