I had very good luck with Arapahoe Security Center (Iliff and Chambers, next to the Village Inn) a couple of years ago, when I got my truck (used), but mine is a regular key start.

Yep. The furthest south I had been before was Oaxaca.

The roads here are fine. Been driving a Hyundai Tuscon with only 8000km that is already rattling from several interior spots and the transmission suuuuucccckkks. This must be what it feels like to own a turd gen. Did a water crossing today and it was fine.

This is all nothing new. Toyota is just the latest of all the manufacturers impacted by the takata recall from 15 years trying to reach out to people like you and me with 20 year old vehicles that are still registered. Its almost worth it to do the recall just to reduce your volume of junk mail from NHTSA. After 4 years of ignoring their notices, BMW did their "do not drive" campaign last year and i finally decided to get my passenger side done on account of my girlfriend being a more regular passenger in my car, and thinking about the next person I sell that car to. The previous owner opted to do the driver side, not the passenger. I didn't know that until this year, I just didn't want someone pulling apart my dash, so I always just drove like I had a claymore pointed at my face.

NHTSA must spend a small fortune in printing and postage. They sent me every color shape and size of notices at least once a week, but I learned to just discard those pesky envelopes out of Wheeling, IL.

I've had my Honda in twice for airbag recalls. I do think I have a dash rattle that wasn't there before, but it's also a nearly 20 year old car so maybe it's just a normal rattle.

Apart from the inconvenience of going to a dealer the process was no big deal. Drop the car off in the morning, pick it up in the afternoon, no charge or paperwork. A friend of mine just did the same thing with his Subaru last week and he even got a loaner car out of the deal

We’re under contract on a house in Monument and our current house hits the market next week. I will be so happy to have the last two months of renovations, donations and trash piling to be done.

I’m pretty sure I have my own parking spot at Habitat for Humanity now.

The wifey helped with the Larimer County COVID response early in the game, which was set up and run by the sheriff's office. So she got to know a bunch of officers there. They told her that, if they ever got a call about anyone being stranded up in the mountains or needing a rescue for whatever reason, 9 times out of 10 it was someone from Weld County. I started calling them "hayseeds" at that point....

Mountain State did my services while I was living in an apartment w/ nowhere to work on my truck and I must say they have great customer service for a dealership. I normally avoid taking my truck to dealers but I was impressed with them. Adler automotive in Wheat Ridge is also a great local shop for anyone who needs anything done.
