Old school Ebay was fun back when it was only private sellers, watching the clock tick down to outbid at the last second

It's gotten pretty easy. Just bid the maximum you would spend, and Ebay increases your bid by $1.00 every time somebody bids against you.
Last item I bid $100 maximum and got it for $72.00.
The Orient Express sells for $1000.00 in new, unopened package, pristine cellophane.
Missing or damaged cellophane. $750.00
Most are opened, if the box and contents are undamaged and the engine runs, then $439-$500 depending on sellers attitude.
The one I got was $250, nobody would bid on a non running engine. $250 was the starting bid. Even if the engine is fucked, the passenger cars are worth that alone and will increase again by next year.

 

There is for sure alot more options on there these days. Buy now, make offer, bid.

No, i didn't take it myself. I had just started a new job 2 months before the due date so i didn't want to rock the boat. The company did give me 4 weeks and flexible schedule though.
Still waiting for the misses to respond, probably busy with the baby, but i do know you can go on there and create a profile and get everything set up. It wont officially start until the hospital submits whatever forms it is to the state. My wife had set up the account in nov/dec and baby was due in Jan.

 

This is correct as I understand from HR brief a week or so ago, both of you are eligible and must file independently.

From the misses:
The process is fairly easy, just aren't able to submit the application until the baby is born or you have documentation to support your leave. You only really need your own personal info (address, ssn, company info, etc). After you apply you'll hear back within a week on status. You also need to know what day you want your leave to start on, once you're approved you'll start to receive payments within a week or so

One other thing to add from HR Brief, if you had a baby in 2023 you might still be eligible for FAMLI in 2024.

Welp. Got Covid from someone at my school. No fever at all. I tested positive last night. Symptoms were full blown yesterday.

Common cold symptoms with a nasty headache & sore throat that feels like strep. I heard that a fair amount of teachers have gotten it in the last week or so. The school said I have to be back at work Monday even if I’m still positive…

 

Oh shit ive had that sore throat since Monday feels like im swallowing razor blades
Went to the clinic Monday strep test sent in,
Still feel like shit went back to the clinic today.
