Correct but, as I said in my original post, we went up Lead King Basin and hit an avalanche a couple miles in and couldn't go any further. The only way to get to the mill at this time is to hike in.

Unfortunately I can't speak to that as we didn't hike up after hitting the avalanche so I'm not sure what the rest of the trail looks like.

It's a DJI Mavic Pro and it's my brother-in-laws. I don't know much about it other than it takes good photos/videos and it has great range. We had a good time w/ it over the weekend. Lots of cool spots to fly it around Marble.

2nd Annual Memorial Day weekend trip dubbed the Dino Run. Doubled as a great shake down run for the truck. I forgot the water intake hose, so I didnt get to try out the shower in real life, but I know it works. Figured out I want to move the stove a little, but it does work very well.

It was awesome pulling up to camp and being ready. There was a little rain the first two nights, and I just ended up sleeping in the truck every night since it was so convenient.

4 days, over 1,000 miles driven, as much gravel/dirt as possible. 10 border crossings between CO/UT/WY.

Little slippery in areas since we were chasing/dodging rain the whole trip.

All of the pictures were taken with my phone...Had a new wide angle lens for my camera that was a big disappointment and I barely used it.

A winch was used two times, had one tire tear a sidewall on a rock that was hanging out in a high speed area (I think a BFG, whatever comes stock on rubicons). And then rubi front locker got stuck locked. Thankfully we were able to open the fill plug and push the locker (basically a huge washer) and it unlocked.

I highly recommend checking out NW CO. Its a lot of rolling hills, dirt roads EVERYWHERE, mainly due to a lot of oil/gas access.

Even though it was a holiday weekend, we drove for hours and hours without seeing another person. Echo Park which was Thursday night we shared the whole thing with 3 other parties out of probably 20 sites. The Gates of Lodore CG was about half full on Friday.

I really want to check out this area. Especially if it's not as popular with the Front Range folks.

Echo park, Gates of lodore and the main area (paved and the museum part) of dinosaur Nat'l Monument can be expected to be the busiest.

Most everything else remains desolate all the time. Some of the roads we were on likely saw only a few vehicles if any since we were on them last year.

One of my coworkers did his grad studies in Dino - says the same thing. Seemed to really enjoy the area, though, and talks about it all the time still.

Lots of history in the area, a lot of carriage and train robbers hung out in the area.

We likely did at least 500 miles on dirt and encountered a high guess of 25 vehicles over 4 days which includes the oil field vehicles. Did see one group of atvs in the distance on Saturday.

Main recommendation is extra fuel... Gas stations are not prevalent. One we planned on stopping at to top off isn't open anymore.

Spent sunday up in Walden, Co at the north sand hills. Cool place last time i was there was 17 with snow on top with quads. I met @YamaDirtrider up there and we attempted north sand-
dunes road. Got a good way up than hit heavy deep snow drifts.

So we where going to winch forward till some razors and atvs ahead where coming back down had to turn around.

    IMG_2119.jpg
Than this happened as i was pulling josh out! Snow was so heavy caught his skid and one bolt pulled though.

Josh leaving skid marks as he spools his winch line!:laughing:
