Bob seems much more experienced at HDR than I am so I welcome corrections from him.

If you don't have a camera that takes multiple exposures of a shot, you can adjust exposure in photoshop or the like and end up with the original, one plus 1or2 and one minus 1or2. You can then use those in something like Photomatrix to develop an HDR image.

In my experience, a simple HDR image will just properly expose both the highlights and the lowlights of a picture (great for backlit shots or shots with the sky in them!)
I believe it's the tone mapping that, if overdone, gives an image that fake processed look.

I agree with you on the sky shots, especially those with dark clouds. The effect on the shots is spectacular, like this one Bob took.

pretty sure that's Buena Vistaishness out there

Then we climbed over some of these

then there was some long, steep, rocky climbing (of which no pictures were taken)
to get to the top here...

There were an unbelievable amount of mosquitoes at 12,300 feet!
So we went back down the hill

For anyone who hasn't been there, it's a pretty fun trail for multiple levels of vehicles/drivers. There are a few lines through obstacles that are challenging enough to keep all but the buggy crowd interested, but there are also bypasses for most everything so that a stock 4x4 could likely make it to the top without much difficulty.
The scenery is pretty cool too

See one of the really cool things about being independently wealthy is that you can go up to the mountains on weekdays when all the suckers are at work and have the whole trail to yourself.

At least that's what I imagine it's like.... I have to go back to work tomorrow

That's the one. If you look closely at the top of that rock, you will see that it matches the big scratch on the bottom of your bumper. :D

I don't think that's the one Rancher is talking about....

The rock in his picture looks like it's just sitting there all by itself.
Not something anyone with half a brain would just try to straddle.

I think the photo you posted Sean style is the rock garden a little further up the trail anyways, the one I'm talking about is the right turn then either stay way right side next to a pine tree for the easy route or go way left and come back towards the right as you make your way up trail

Oh, and then that puny rock on the left that left me stuck. That was great. Being the last in line I had plenty of time to observe the area and know which rock to avoid. But forgot about that rock as I confidently avoided the bigger rock.

Chris, he is on here but quiet, not sure anyone on here has wheeled with him. I helped him lift it a few months back and I think he posted pics then.
