We made it up where the FJ was being winched.

Where the massive landcruiser/buggy/diesel/rear-steer/whatever on 44s and rockwells was being winched was a different spot. And he was only being winched after he imploded a rear axle, locking one of the wheels.

    what Brett said...

and in fairness to the FJ, while I went up it the first time without even scratching any armor, by the time I went up it the second time it had gotten a bit more dug out and I hung up on my driver's side slider the first few attempts before getting further over to the passenger side where I could scramble out. The FJ made his attempt after my second and there had probably been even a few more truggys through by that time.
These pictures show pretty well where I and the FJ were hung up on our sliders

We spent quite a while being entertained at the quarry and I took a ridiculous amount of pictures as well as passing my camera around when I was driving so if you want to check out the whole mess of them, the album is HERE

I think our wheel base gave us the edge over the FJ on this particular obstacle

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Ya it was a pretty fun day and turned into a really interesting day when all the other yotas started to show up. It was kinda funny we kept giving the heep divers crap for not going up the second part, but when the massive yota broke its axle they had to get their one poke in about the one jeep helping pull out the yota.

The lines on that final bit of the quarry go from medium difficulty to insane within 24in. The mid right can be done in a limo  but the far right or left would be places to flip crawlers of all sorts. Best playground in NoCo for sure. I wish I could have made it. Last time my rear bumper was dragging on the quarry but now I don't have to worry about that anymore  x2

A small handful of select mods.
So that explains more on the heep. It was in the local news here. Must have not been in gear or the parking brake on and it moved on its own to roll if the story you heard is true. That sucks but glad no one was in it.

    Great pics by the way!
