for clarification... flexing and bending are two different things in the way we're talking about them... bending as I was refering to it means a perminant unplanned damaging deformation... while flexing is the natural, temporary, planed deformation under stress.. and that flex is very slight

Awh, come on...I'm worthy. I've been out there a couple times as my childhood friend used to live in Littleton. Now he's in Lakewood. I flew out for his wedding and I also flew out so he and I could go see Dinosaur Jr. play up in Ft. Collins(Killer Show!).

Bob, any suggestions on cool things to go see near breckenridge? Going to go check out Minturn for sure and I think Vail.

Gilman townsite is up the road a little from Midturn...cool old ghost town..lost of restrictions on access though..

    you looking to wheel?
there's trails out of montezuma that are cool to explore and not crazy, so even with snow you can explore a bunch (ie cinnamon/chihuahua gulch, peru creek, hunkidori mine, saint john, webster pass, radical hill) or from breckenridge (georgia pass, swan river, crystal lakes)

good hikes to mohawk lake/continental falls (south of breck), lily pad lake (frisco north side)

breckenridge brewery and dillon dam brewery both have great brew and eats...breakfast at daylight donuts in breckeridge

    cool hike in vail..booth falls

if mosquito pass is still open, you could go breckenridge, south to mosquito, then over to midturn and back past vail on your way back..then over webster(might be closed) or georgia or boreas pass back to 285...or over hoosier to breck, i70 to vail and midturn then come back down through leadville...take weston pass back over to 285

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Ya it was a fun trail. I want to run it again once I sliders and some real skids. I was a little fearful of hitting my rocks a few times and I kinda smashed my stock skids pretty good.

Awesome thanks! Probably no wheeling as I think we're taking the tundra. Just spending a few days at the timeshare again.

Good trip up Kelly Flats today.
A few pics I took of Squeaky Penguin's attempt at the Chutes.

But first, one shot of me.

Squeaky sizing it up, seems wide enough.

That honest couple feet took a lot of work. Thanks to everyone for moving rocks and "helping" with spotting and encouraging. That's one hell of an obstacle, not quite ready for that much body damage yet.

As per usual, don't count on me taking very many pictures:

Heart attack hill did not give me a heart attack. But it did destroy travis's drive shaft. How was it on the way home?

while we wait for more pics, here is a video of the Mountaineers in September running the chutes. A tubed out older Toyota makes an appearance at 3:20.
Vince (who took the video) is actually a member of TW but doesn't seem to post very often.

Take note Young Brett for your next attempt. :D

Hmmm, looks like my downfall was not nearly enough use of the skinny pedal.

The tube Yota did it fairly drama free. You might need 40's too. And not be too concerned with body damage..;)

It is a new, slight vibration. But not nearly as bad as I expected with how bad it looks.
